The directors of Logos Broadcasting Ltd. released the following press notice following announcement of award of the Central Scotland regional licence to Beat FM;
THE VISION FOR CHRISTIAN RADIO LIVES ON
Although unsuccessful in their recent bid for the Central Scotland Regional Radio Licence, the board members of Logos Broadcasting Ltd. have pledged to continue with their vision for a full-time Christian radio station in Scotland. Using the call sign of Revival Radio, the company will seek to broadcast using the Restricted Service Licence (RSL) route as well as other opportunities through existing radio stations and cable operators.
Chairman Bill McCall commented,
"The application process has proven to be a tremendous learning opportunity for the company and has been well worthwhile for that purpose alone. We have discovered that there is no reason why a Christian radio station cannot be successful in the radio spectrum of the forthcoming millennium."Forthcoming licence awards in Scotland will be considered by the company which has already registered this interest with the Radio Authority. Assistance will also be offered to other Christian groups who are seeking full-time licences from the Radio Authority.
