Bob
Dixon
Technical Director
As
Technical Director Bob's contribution to the Board is in responding to
equipment needs of the station, including bringing forward new ideas.
Much
of Bob's practical contribution to the work of Revival Radio is hidden
behind the scenes. As the man responsible for keeping all the wires correctly
twisted together, he has to ensure that the station comes "on air"
each broadcast - he also has the dubious honour of switching the transmitter
off at the end of each broadcast (boo, hiss)!
Bob
is also involved with some of the work required in recording
church services, station announcements and programmes.
In
contributing to the programme line-up during the station's live broadcast
periods, Bob has appeared in a number of broadcast slots, most recently
fronting some of the Late Late Show output.
An
enthusiast for all forms of radio (amateur radio callsign GM3ZDH)
and electronic communications, Bob was employed with British Telecom's
Maritime Radio Services was for 28 years and now operates his own Internet
Consultancy business
